Chef Amarah Bain

The best food starts with the best ingredients!

Amarah Bain grew up on a farm in Snohomish, WA. From a young age, she was exposed to the hard work and dedication needed to live off the land. Raising cows and chickens, growing fresh produce and training and riding horses, Amarah learnt the foundations of what it took to be successful. Amarah attended Edmonds Community College straight out of high school where she earnt student of the year honors and now sits on the advisory board for the culinary program. Her cooking career began working in a small catering operation before progressing into fine dining establishments in Seattle including; La Spiga Osteria and Agroducle for Maria Hines, where she worked her way up to the Sous Chef position. She then took a position at 99 Park in Bellevue, again moving into the Sous role before landing at Novelty Hill - Januik Winery. Amarah’s love for locally sourced and responsibly grown produce has driven her to inspire and educate her friends and family about the bounty available to us here in the Pacific Northwest.
