Kids Summer Camp FAQ

What time is the camp?

Starting from June 24th to August 30th, Urban Table provides 5-day camp runs from every Monday to Friday.

  • Full-Day Camp: 9AM-3PM

  • Half-Day Morning Camp: 9AM-1PM

  • Half-Day Afternoon Camp: 1-3PM


What to expect in the summer camp?

Urban Table offers full-day or half-day camps with hands-on culinary experiences. All camps are taught by Urban Table’s professional chef instructors and kitchen assistants, and a culinary coach to kid-chef ratio is averaging 1:5. 

What will kids learn at each camp and which camp should I choose for my kid?

Please click on the download camp details to find out more about class contents. We recommend Camp A and Camp B for kids age 6-12 and beginners, Camp C and Camp D for kids age 8-15 from beginner to advanced.


How many different camps you offer and what is the pricing?

We provide 4 different themes for all 3 camp types. Please click on the camp you’re interested above to see more details.

  • Full-Day Camp: $720 for Camp A&C, $745 for Camp B&D

  • Half-Day Morning Camp: $400 for Camp A&C, $415 for Camp B&D

  • Half-Day Afternoon Camp: $350 for Camp A&C, $365 for Camp B&D

Is there any discount or promotion? 

Urban Table offers 10% off a second camp for the same camper, and a referral $20 both-sided discount for the same camp. Please contact us to get the promotion code.

What is included in the camp package?

The camp package includes:

  • A Cookbook (full-day camp only)

  • Cooking/Bakery utensil collection (full-day camp only)

  • Camp apron 

  • Diploma

  • Daily lunch (full-day camp and half-day morning camp only)

  • Fresh daily culinary ingredients

  • One chef instructor and two kitchen assistants

How do I sign up for the summer camp?

Please choose the camp above you want to sign up for your kid and payment in full due at checkout. Camp fees are non-refundable. With 3 weeks notice, the camp fee may be transferred for up to 2 years towards a future camp or any of our events, classes or merchandise.

How many campers for each camp?

Urban Table focuses on class quality and we’d like each camper to learn all the basic kitchen knowledge with professional instruction. The maximum capacity for each camp is 15.

Do you use nuts during Class?

No. We don’t use nuts during the camp. We are generally able to accommodate campers with common allergies and dietary restrictions. Please contact us with specific questions or concerns.


What will the kids have for lunch during the full-day and half-day morning camps?

For all camps , kids will be enjoying the food they prepare and make under the chefs’ instruction.​ Please pack a water bottle and snack for your kid, if desired.

What if I cannot pick up the kid on time?

Please be aware that we do not provide before or after care for campers.  Please plan drop-off no earlier than 5 minutes before camp start time and pick-up no later than 5 minutes after the conclusion of camp.


Do kids bring home food they make?

All the food will be made and eaten at Urban Table, we are an educational facility and DO NOT allow the food a child prepares to be taken outside of our facility.


Do you offer partial refund if my kid miss one or two days of the camp?

We ask all the campers attend the class on time and there’s no refund of any form if campers miss any class.

What is your cancellation/refund policy? 

  • 7-14 days from your registration: there will be a $25 (include credit card convenience fee of 3%) rescheduling or cancellation fee applied to the credit card we have on file at booking.

  • Within 7 days of your event:

    • If cancelled: no refunds.

    • If rescheduled: there will be a $50 rescheduling fee including credit card convenience fee of 3%.


*this policy applies to all The La Kitchen, LLC rescheduled and cancelled events due to illness, weather, unplanned circumstances, etc. That result in the inability to attend at scheduled event time.

*3% credit card convenience fee included in all credit card transactions is not refundable in any case. ​

Other things I should be aware of?

Registration deadline is one-week prior to the start date. We ask minimum 4 participants enrolled for the camp to be held. Otherwise, we will contact you to change another camp or cancel the reservation for you with at least three weeks’ notice.
